Talipanan Falls - Sitio Talipanan, Puerto Galera
About 30-45 minute hike from the Talipanan beach is a quiet and simple 30-meter high falls. It is not spectacular and it cascades to a small basin of about 15-feet deep murky green water enclosed with boulders on both sides. There is a narrow sloping path to the left that leads to the head of the waterfalls.
We asked a little boy from Whitesand Resort to guide us. You will pass by a quiet village going there. We gave our guide P200 afterwards.
There’s really nothing much to do there except catch your breath, lie down on the wide rocks for a while and descend again.
I guess the only exciting part about the hike is the challenging steep climbs. You would really have to crawl on your knees at times to climb some areas. Mamu, my short-legged friend, had a hard time stretching her legs to climb and we really had a supah good time laughing at about it.
