lol i just feel obliged to apologise on behalf of the singaporeans. Although i hold a red passport, my mom is from cebu and i can understand how rude singaporeans can get. I agree with one of the commentators at the top, Phil used to be a power house and will be soon. After clearing all their debt and attracting alot of foreign companies to invest, there is no where else but up. I love the phil~! I love Singapore. Good luck with work!

Hi Prinsesa. I've been to Singapore once when I was in college. I love Singapore. Lalo na ngayon kasi andun na GF ko. Hehehe. Thanks for sharing your stories, it inspired me to be persistent. I been applying for SG for one month now through online and with no luck. I'm still hoping the global economy will improve. IT ang linya ko with 2 years experience pero I'm still having a hard time getting interviews. I have a friend who applied online 2 years ago and he was hired. I really love your tips. I'm planning to go to SG soon and maybe risk it all. Thanks taking your time to post and share your experience. God Bless us all.

i am an epec holder bound for singapore on january 15. do i need a two way ticket to present at the immigration here.

apart from the medical exam, what other requirements do i have to accomplish when i enter singapore

<strong><em>

<blockquote>hi vanessa. yup, you still need to purchase a RT ticket, kasi considered tourist ka pa din kasi wala ka pa job. refund mo na lang when you secure your work, work pass, etc. thanks. PL

loved the story prinsesa,
...reading this entry, esp. the discrimination part; one thing comes to mind "blame it on the government!!!" gubyerno natin 'ha!
When I did my SE Asia trip, I met loads of Singaporean kids doing their travel as a graduation present for themselves or something. I really thought kaya ng Pinas 'yan.
We were number two next to Japan in terms of economy in the region just about three decades ago, then something got messed up along the way. And I have no doubt in my mind that our government, local officials and people who are being paid by my tax money are part of it or you can say--all to blame.
When I visited KL and Singapore last June, sabi ko kaya talaga natin 'yan; to have a beautiful, clean and efficient city. Betchabygollywow! we have loads of resources; natural and human at marami pang iba i'm sure ;p aside from discipline and a corrupt government, what else is holding us back? hehehe
I still believe that one day will be back as a powerhouse and maybe Singaporeans will come to our country to look for work. Well, I didn't say "one day" will be tomorrow hehe... i just pray that our country could at least give our fellow pinoys a good job to sustain their families.
...ayan dumaldal na ko and shared a piece of my mangled mind ;p

I just know it... hell pray with me on this one if need be; Manila will have its former glory back and us Pinoys will be raising our foreheads like we never had, be it this decade or the next, this century or kalachuchi!
...there's still hope for a better Pinas!!!

...keep on writing the good write Riza ;p
you are an inspiration!

<blockquote><strong><em> thanks andiboi! your mind though mangled makes a lotta sense and says the truth. dami dapat ayusin sa atin, marami nga tayo natural wonders to attract tourists but the peace and order situation is kinda troubling. kahit ako, am afraid of wandering in Mindanao parts. Sayang, that place is a gem. but ya, there's still hope :). PL

I am by the way interested in working in Singapore. How to go about it I still don't know. I do know that one can just cross to Malaysia(Johor Bahru being the closest or do a side trip to KL which is about 6 hours by bus) or Indonesia(Bintan-is about 30 minutes by fast boat if I recall correctly or Batam) to get an extension on their passport. Just like a visa run.
